OC: Tyne Hope

Name: Tyne Hope

Age: 19

Appearance:Waist length dark purple hair(In human form as well), fair skin and dark blue eyes with silver flecks. Her tail, while very much like her mother's has black scales, unlike the brighter colors of the pure bloods, but they shimmer purple in the light, and has the short spikes that are almost translucent. In human form, her ears are rounded, but in her fish form they are like smaller fins, and she can move them out a bit or right against her head.

Race: Mermaia(mer-maw-ee-ah)/human

Personality: She is passionate about several things such as art, swimming and keeping the ocean clean. She loves her father, and loves to see her mother as often as she can, who can only visit her every once in a while. She is cautious around people she doesn't know, and sometimes she will hang back longer before telling them much about herself.

Bio: Born in the sea near the Mariana Trench with a human father, as soon as she touched the water, she grew a tail and gills behind her ears, much like her mother. She was ten when she was suddenly taken from her home and onto land to live with her father, who she only heard stories of before. It took her a while to walk on legs all the time, and though she knew some English, she tried often to see if her father could speak through the mind, like her mother could. They had a rocky start, but after hearing how they met from his point of view, and who he was, she slowly warmed up to him. He taught her how to paint, and she was hooked on it right away. She painted seascapes, deep below with creatures that she had known, and they bonded greatly over that. She also figured out how strong she was, and had to learn to grab things with a light grip, lest she break it. Tyne, unlike her full fish blooded cousins, can stay out of the water for weeks if she had to, while the rest need to drink often while on land. They will start to heat up after a couple hours, and die if they can't get back to water. As she got use to land living, she became more interested human things such as rock bands and having to shave and wear clothes. She also has the ability of 'Hydro-Thermo kinesis', in which she can boil/evaporate water, more or less at will.
